About The Suffolk Six
A decade ago, the practice of Family Law was called “the Wild West;” emotional litigants, few references to case law in court, Judge driving for settlements to get cases off their desk, antiquated state laws that did reflect changes in society and more. Today Family Law is not a “practice” as much as an industry; an ecosystem where everyone benefits but the actual litigants. The process can destroys spouse’s lives, their finances, their physical health and their mental health. Above all, the people that are hurt are the people the system is supposed to protect; the children.
At best, they grow up in a household that is driven by a judgement or settlement document they will never see themselves. At worse, we look at children Judges ordered to live with abusers and felons. The Suffolk Six goes hard into the Family Law System in Massachusetts, following more than 20 Family Law Cases in Norfolk County, Massachusetts—the same county where the recent Karen Read murder case took place and corruption there surfaced. From the same country, you will hear stories of litigants that will shock you. Cases that the Massachusetts State government looked the other way and even the FBI. Lawyers and Judges work together to move cases off their desk, drive billings and leave litigants with eyebrow raising decisions. This is a system that no longer favors the mother, the discrimination, if not corruption, is gender neutral. More than 25 women have come forward in Massachusetts to assert their claims. At the same time, there are men that have stories that will shock you. We are confident that the Suffolk Six will change the landscape of family law in Massachusetts and, ultimately, the entire country to expose The Cartel of Family Law*

What is obviously missing is a boiler plate, what is this?
Attorneys often say they don’t practice Family Law because it is “the Wild West”; a lack of civil procedure, rare references to case law, emotional litigants, Judges that put pressure on counsel to settle and they see it as an unregulated industry—and it is an industry. Those are the people who delicately sum up Family Law.
Others refer to Family Law as a “Cartel”. It is a corrupt industry where Lawyers help Judges quickly move cases off their desk and Judges help Attorneys bill clients who can afford it by “status meetings” and “pre trials” where documents for these sessions total $10,000 or more in fees. . Find another industry that demands, by law, that you should produce a Financial Statement to show transparency your net worth on day #1? The impact is obvious; your attorney sees you have $10,000 in the bank, there is no money for him or her and the case concludes quickly via mediation or one day in court. Is your net worth $5 million? That case takes a year and you pay $260,000 in legal fees. Guess what? Both cases have the same issues.
Men use to be persecuted by the system; men were the breadwinners, mothers took care of the children, men were the proprietor of bad behavior driving the breakdown of the relationship, etc. Not anymore. Women are hurt by the system as much as men, perhaps even more.

I thought it was just me, I found out that indeed, I was not alone. In fact, I found that many others just like me. My self and… were not only victims of domestic violence from our abuser, but we’re also victims” of the judicial codes of conduct.
